Anti-Pink Dot Group doesn’t just advocate violence. It’s extremist and dangerous as well. Here’s the proof

We Are Against Pink Dot in Singapore, or WAAPD, has been around for quite a while, hasn’t it? Many of us actually have friends who follow/are in the group, liking and sharing content from and to the page group. Me? 2 of my Facebook Friends are part of this 7,800 member strong group.

Week after week, I’ve held back from writing about them. Mostly because I felt like they weren’t worth it. I’ve read so many of their posts, comments and thoughts, but never acted.

Today, I regret not acting.

My regret for not speaking up comes after reading an online post about how Bryan Lim advocated shooting Pink Dot supporters and attendees on the WAAPD Facebook Group, in particular, this post:

Bryan Lim is no simpleton. He works as a Performance Consultant with Canon. He’s a professional, who teaches and educates people. Bryan Lim is, for all intents and purposes, could be your colleague, friend or family.

They even justify his behaviour, by saying people have taken his words “out of context”

So Bryan didn’t want to kill Pink Dot supporters, but wants to kill Bloomberg Employees now. The question from me is this: If Bryan meant to kill Bloomberg’s non-Singaporean employees, is that still acceptable?

But it doesn’t end here…

…because people like Eugene Chin has decided that 50 dead, massacred gay people was a blessing for the world.

Subhumans

Guess what? Eugene Chin‘s Facebook account is chock full of Swastikas and Nazi Imagery. Don’t believe me? Here’s the screen grab:

There’s the Nazism, and the Wermacht exacting some terrifying violence.

We’re not even half way through though

Wilrick Wong has decided to dispense some violent justice in the form of Hokkien Slangs

He wants to Bash the Ah Gua (Transsexual/Transvestite).

To them, all gay people are Harbingers of AIDS

This was in direct response to the Orlando Shootings.

The Orlando Shooting is a cumulation of hate like this.

Much like the hate and violence that the people above speak of. They want to shoot, bash, and kill people in the LGBT community. I despise that deeply, and I never want to see that happening here. I’m done staying silent.

I’m not gay, I’m strongly against advocating violence against the LGBT community. Let’s deal with this in a civilised manner, like that racist the last time round, please lodge a police report against all these violent individuals.

From California, USA: On Eugene Chin’s sad excuse for a Facebook page he uses the colors of the American flag to present himself.

We don’t want people like him in this country, and as an American I find his use of those colors offensive.

Any individual who can make light of 50 dead people and the horror they went through before they were killed isn’t a human being; these are sad, damaged people, much like Omar Mateen.

Thank you for writing about this, friend. I have been always against these people, openly to their face at times. But in face of overwhelming opposition to my words, and them disregarding it outright because it does not appeal to their ego at “spreading the bigotry and hate”(these words are of my own sentiments, of course), it was really quite hard for me to continue. I hope your post will go viral, and people will start to realize what bigot scum exist in the group, where they openly hate, detest, and wish death upon people who have done them no harm whatsoever. Not said a word against them. NOTHING! All these people do, they do in the sake of their own egotistical megalomania. I’ve reported many a hate speech on the group(I joined to see what sickening rubbish they post). But I haven’t followed up to check whether any single one of those reports were taken into consideration or not. I don’t think they were, and that was the point I gave up.

Fight the good fight, comrade! I really feel like I need a break to traverse these sands of time of mine in my own time and at my own pace. It has been too long, too arduous a journey to trek on the pace decided for me. And now I would like to take a break. Fight in my stead.

    • Hello Kevin,
      Thanks for the comment!
Since this has been posted, the post has been read over 5000 times. That’s a sign of how far it’s travelled. I’m glad it’s gone far, and I hope you will share it with your friends as well.

I’d like to say this: They are not bigot scum. They are misled. They believe that in order for their belief systems to be in place, another human needs to submit to their will. It is ingrained in their belief systems, that there must be submission to an interpretation of a book.

I, however, think that the subjugation of my fellow man, is not a part of the process of life today. That there is a space to live and let live. That if someone wishes to live in a way that doesn’t affect another fellow man, he or she should be free to do so.

      Love, is love.

      Ken.
