I first heard of Baby Eva from my girlfriend, Joan.
I meet animals that Joan rescues quite often. However, the ones that really catch my attention are the kittens. Eva is one of those abandoned kittens.
Eva is unique in the sense that she has a “moustache”. She’s beautiful, gentle and friendly. In short, Eva is the perfect little kitten. When they found her, she couldn’t have been more than a few weeks old.
Isn’t she the sweetest?
She was really, really tiny. Just look at her, compared to that light switch on the floor.
I’m not sure how Joan found her, but she ended up taking her in for a day or two. While Eva was staying with her, Joan found a new foster family for Eva. Eventually, Baby Eva was passed over to the new foster family.
Since I hadn’t met her in the flesh yet, I decided that I would go and visit her. BIG mistake because I fell in love with this very adorable kitten.
While Baby Eva is really cute and all, I just want to remind everyone that cases like her’s spring up every day. If it’s not an abandoned kitten, it’s a LITTER of abandoned kittens, or a lone dog found abandoned on the streets. Many of them are sick when found by loving volunteers and some don’t survive their illnesses.
Baby Eva is one of the very few lucky animals. We were able to find a loving home for her, one that is willing to care for her and love her. I hope that everyone that read this will think about that before you:
- Buy an animal from a store
- Choose not to sterilise your animals
- Abandon a pet
Please remember that these animals are innocent and often struggle to survive in our harsh environment. Remember to love them like your own children 🙂 OK one last pic of Eva before we go:
