The Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck promises returning classics and new, exclusive dishes at Changi’s T3 Departure Transit Lounge
It was a little surprising to hear that Wolfgang Puck had decided to jump into the premium-casual dining fray, and at the airport of all places!
The Michelin Star’s third outlet in Singapore, The Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck is shaping up to be an all-day affair. It’s aiming to serve artisanal pizza, gourmet sandwiches, pasta, salads and entrees from dawn to dusk.
Guests will also be able to enjoy a tipple, with specialty cocktails and Wolfgang Puck’s own label of premium Red and White wine on the menu. It seems that they’re aiming for an early breakfast at 6am and only shuttering its doors at 1am the next day, so we’re looking at a smorgasbord of both new and returning dishes.
Come one, Come all
Wolfgang Puck’s followers will be glad to hear that his signature Chicken Salad, the one with napa cabbage, cashews and a ginger-sesame vinaigrette, will be on the menu.
Gastronomic Progressives will also be rewarded with new items that are unique to this Changi Airport outlet, like the Spicy Chicken Potstickers, Asian BBQ Chicken Pizza, Steamed Scottish Salmon Hong Kong Style, and the Beef Short Rib with Spicy Kimchi. The last one, especially, promises to be a dish that fuses Korean flavours with juicy beef.
Red Eye Refuge
For travellers flying off or landing in the wee hours of the morning, The Kitchen would be a nice little pit stop. After all, breakfast options include hearty dishes like Eggs & Hash Bowl with sausage. Those looking for a smaller bite will find comfort in a classic Smoked Salmon Bagel.
It looks like Changi Airport’s T3 is set for better, and newer things this year. I can’t wait to go on my next trip (Hong Kong?) to try this one out!
